The television was small and not even HD. I was able to check into the hotel early and found a large, clean, comfortable room with one problem. I have found that the staff at Harrah's properties always seem to be extremely friendly and courteous. First of all I must compliment the staff. These are the missing caveats that would make this place perfect.I visited the Harrah's in Joliet and found it to be a good casino and hotel. The only opportunities would be to add a personal room safe, swimming pool and a hot tub. Also some rooms come with nice view of river and or downtown. They are large, laid out well, updated and include free wi-fi.

The hotel rooms’ onsite are well appointed spacious and always clean by the friendly maid staff including Lupe who kept my room spotless. You can also find $5 tables almost any time of the day, everyday of the year.

Dealers, cocktail servers and pit bosses are also very friendly and will strike up conversation with you very easily. It's very spacious plenty of table games and slot machines, and the atmosphere is among the best in Illinois if you ask me. Honestly, this has to be one of my favorite casinos in Illinois. Kevin the Food Operations Manager does a fantastic job at always taking care of the customer! He goes out of his way to make the customer’s experience a great one, and is willing to even go out and get something if they don’t have it onsite. I recommend the oysters Rockefeller! Be sure to say hi to Broche at the Bar she will take care of your thirst needs! Also right in the middle of the Casino is the Diamond Lounge which has a great view of the water, good bar and very good complementary buffet meals for those Diamond Members and their guests. And some pretty good appetizers available from the Reserve next door. Great place for meeting up with a few friends for some drinks for a break in the Casino action.

The Sheer Bar in the casino center is a great place to grab drinks with some friends, or checking on the score on the game! The drinks here are delicious. Ruben one of the top notch Host’s on the property and is always just around the corner ready to take care of your every need! I am very impressed with his willingness to make the customer feel pampered.

The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful, in the times I've been there for check-in, the line moves along swiftly.
